How Bloom Works
How Bloom Growth helps your team work better together.
I use Bloom Growth to guide planning and coaching sessions with you and your leadership team.
Who participates, and who it fits.

I work with the owner or CEO and their leadership team. We agree on who should take part before we start.
I work with owners, CEOs, and founders in all industries. I don’t use a fixed company-size range; I’d rather talk first about where your business is and where it’s going. Based in Portland, I work with owners and leadership teams nationwide, with a focus on Oregon, Washington, Idaho and California.
What the work needs from you
The owner or CEO needs to be actively involved and willing to look at their own role in how the business operates. The leadership team should be open to honest conversations, clear responsibilities, and making changes together.
You don’t need to have everything figured out. You do need to be willing to make time for the work and follow through.
What’s outside my work
I refer legal, tax, accounting, investment, and mental health matters to appropriately qualified professionals. Projects requiring hands-on specialist delivery, such as running advertising campaigns, bookkeeping, recruiting, or implementing IT systems, may also need a separate provider. If a request falls outside my experience or the scope we agree on, I’ll say so and help identify the kind of support needed.
The first 90 days, and what follows.
Four full-day leadership planning sessions over roughly 90 days, with check-ins between sessions.
The first 90 days establish the plan and working habits we’ll keep building on.
The first 90 days
The sessions follow the Bloom Days 1, 30, 60, and 90 sequence. Scheduling can be adjusted around your team’s availability while keeping the sequence and purpose of each session.
Every week
Your leadership team runs its own weekly meeting. I help set it up and join during the initial rollout as we agree, then step back as the team gets comfortable running it.
Every quarter and year
After the initial foundation, we meet for four one-day quarterly planning sessions and a separate two-day annual planning session, with agreed check-ins between sessions. Together, we review progress, work through issues, and plan for the quarter and year ahead.
How we work together.
I guide the sessions, ask questions, and help you work through difficult issues. You and your leaders make the decisions and carry out the work.
What we build
A shared growth plan, clear priorities and responsibilities, useful measures of progress, and a regular meeting structure your team uses between sessions.
Between sessions
Scheduled check-ins, email, and brief calls when needed. We agree on how to reach me and reasonable response times before we begin.
Your time
Plan for the planning sessions, your weekly meetings, preparation, and agreed work between sessions. We discuss the schedule before starting.
Where we meet
Planning sessions are held in person; check-ins and shorter coaching conversations happen online. We agree on locations and any travel costs before starting.
Fees
Fees are discussed after an initial conversation about your business and the scope of the work. You receive a proposal covering what’s included, the schedule, fees, and terms.
The Bloom 8 Essentials.
We look at eight areas of the business, then focus on the ones that need attention first. You don’t have to tackle everything at once.
Growth Plan
Agree on where the business is going, then turn that direction into annual goals and clear priorities for the next 90 days.
People
Clarify roles, set expectations, and help people succeed in the work they’re responsible for.
Meetings
Give meetings a clear purpose, make decisions, and leave knowing who will do what next.
Sales & Marketing
Get clear on the customers you serve, how you win new business, and how you keep and grow existing relationships.
Finance & Data
Use the right numbers to understand performance, spot problems, and make informed decisions about profit and cash flow.
Technology
Make better use of the tools you have and identify where a change would make the work easier.
Process
Make recurring work easier to repeat, with fewer mistakes, less rework, and clear instructions people actually use.
Relationships
Help leaders understand their own habits, have honest conversations, and build the trust needed to work through problems together.
How your leaders work together.

How your leaders work together affects the whole business. We work on setting clear expectations, listening, giving useful feedback, and addressing difficult issues before they become recurring problems.
We also look at our own habits as leaders: how we respond under pressure, whether people feel comfortable speaking honestly, and how we help them take responsibility and grow.
Software that supports the work.
Bloom Growth software keeps priorities, meeting notes, key numbers, and next steps in one place, so the team can see what’s happening and what needs attention.
Bloom Growth software is included in the coaching fee.
Questions owners ask.
Still wondering about something?
Send me a message.
Who participates - the owner or the leadership team?
My main work is with the owner or CEO and their leadership team. Your involvement matters because the work includes decisions about direction, responsibilities, and how the business runs. We agree on who should participate before starting.
Individual owner coaching or advisory support may also be appropriate, depending on what you need.
What happens in the first 90 days?
We work through the Bloom foundation: four full-day leadership planning sessions over roughly 90 days, with check-ins between them. Together, we clarify where the business is going, choose priorities, define responsibilities, and work on how the team communicates and follows through. Sessions follow the Bloom Days 1, 30, 60, and 90 sequence, with scheduling flexibility agreed in advance.
How much time should we set aside?
Plan for full-day leadership planning sessions, regular weekly leadership meetings, preparation, and work on your agreed priorities between sessions.
Before we begin, we discuss the schedule and what participation will require from you and your team.
Where and how do sessions happen?
Leadership planning sessions are held in person, with check-ins and shorter coaching conversations online. We agree on a location where your team can focus on the work.
Based in Portland, I work with owners and leadership teams nationwide, with a focus on Oregon, Washington, Idaho and California. Locations and any travel costs are agreed on before we start.
What does it cost, and is software included?
Pricing depends on the scope of the engagement. After an initial conversation, I provide a proposal explaining the sessions, support, software, fees, and terms.
Bloom Growth software is included in the coaching fee.

What if we already use another business system?
We start by discussing what’s working and where you need help. Owner coaching or advisory support may be possible while you keep your current system.
My main leadership-team coaching offer uses Bloom Growth. If moving to Bloom makes sense, we discuss what that would involve and agree on an approach together.
What support is available between planning sessions?
Support includes scheduled check-ins, email, and brief calls when needed. We agree on how to reach me and what response expectations will be before starting.
Will you attend our weekly leadership meetings?
I help establish the meeting structure and attend during the initial rollout as agreed. The goal is for your team to run useful meetings independently.
I may also observe periodically to offer feedback or help address a problem with how the meetings are working.
What is the ongoing commitment?
After the initial foundation, we meet for four one-day quarterly planning sessions and a separate two-day annual planning session, with agreed check-ins between sessions. That gives us time to review progress, work through issues, and plan for the quarter and year ahead. Your proposal sets out the engagement length and terms before you decide to move forward.
Do we need to get organized before contacting you?
You don’t need to have everything figured out before we talk. We start with what’s happening in your business today.
What matters is your willingness to participate, make time for the work, and follow through with your team.
Will you make decisions or run the business for us?
No. I guide the sessions, ask questions, and help you work through difficult issues. You and your leaders make the decisions and carry out the work.
How will we know whether we’re making progress?
We agree on a starting point and a small set of measures that matter to your business. These may include completed priorities, clearer responsibilities, fewer decisions returning to the owner, team feedback, and relevant business numbers.
We review those measures together and adjust the work as needed.
